The General mission of the UMBC Neurodivergent Affinity Group is to:
- Support neurodivergent faculty and staff in contributing to UMBC’s mission as effectively as possible;
- Educate peers to demonstrate allyship that supports the work of neurodivergent colleagues from current, social justice-informed information in alignment with the Neurodiversity Movement;
- Represent UMBC’s Neurodivergent faculty and staff population, advocate and acknowledge their value or contributions within the community.
UMBC Affinity Groups are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University’s nondiscrimination policy.
