UMBC is a founding member of the Mid-Atlantic Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC), a national non-profit coalition of over 700 colleges, universities, research labs, and other organizations committed to strengthening recruitment and retention in higher education.
Through UMBC’s institutional membership, faculty search committees, department chairs, and other members of the university community have access to resources that support effective recruitment, inclusive hiring practices, and professional development.
