Jewish Faculty and Staff Association

The Jewish Faculty and Staff Affinity (JFSA) group at UMBC is inspired by a shared commitment to cultivate an environment that is both inclusive and supportive of Jewish colleagues. Our core mission centers around building a vibrant Jewish community and establishing a robust Jewish faculty and staff network. This affinity group serves as a platform where members can engage in meaningful discussions about common experiences, provide mutual support, and collaborate on initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect throughout the university.

Our objectives extend beyond the well-being and advancement of the Jewish community; we aspire to contribute to the enrichment of the entire UMBC campus. Through our efforts, we aim to promote a culture of diversity, understanding, and respect among all faculty, staff, and students, thereby enhancing the educational experience and fostering a sense of belonging for everyone at UMBC.

UMBC Affinity Groups are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University’s nondiscrimination policy.
