Welcome, New Faculty!
During this two-day orientation, new faculty members will connect with colleagues and learn about campus resources that will support their faculty journey at UMBC.
The orientation will provide information about our students, as well as highlight how UMBC supports faculty in their teaching, research, and professional growth. Sessions will include insights from university administrators and practical advice from recently hired faculty members.
Our goal is for new faculty to leave these sessions equipped with useful information and feeling supported, connected, and excited about the journey ahead—knowing that you belong here, and that your contributions will help to sustain and strengthen our community. Welcome to UMBC!
